Nigerian politician will not ‘injure’ someone sha with all these their comical reasoning…I mean is it better to lie and win an election or tell the truth and live in peace with your conscience even at the risk of losing elections? This could be what all this is all about for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and these other politicians reacting to the comment allegedly made by President Buhari on Nigerian Youths being lazy.
Well, call him an opportunist you will not be wrong. But again, politicians all over the world are, and like vultures, they feed on the misfortune of another, especially a direct opponent or opponents. Just like what is going on now where every politician in the opposing political party of the PDP, for instance, are relishing on the blunder allegedly committed President Buhari.

No politician will think twice before pouncing on such allegations whether it being true or false. It is an opportunity to buy time for themselves, to at least have Nigerians on their side even if is for a day or a week they will enjoy it, as the backlash continues to rain on the President.
One person that is now riding on that blunder is no other and as expected, a former Vice President of Nigeria, and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Not to be outdone or outsmart of not condemning the President on his alleged comment, Atiku took to his social media handle to defend the ‘Nigerian Youths’ saying:
I will never refer to Nigeria’s youth as people who sit and do nothing. They are hardworking. I should know, I have thousands of youths working for me all over the country who have been the backbone to our success.
I’ve always said oil is not Nigeria’s greatest asset. Our greatest asset is our youth who created Nollywood out of nothing and an entertainment industry that is second to none in Africa.
Our youth are charting new frontiers; creating a huge tech industry on their own! Their entrepreneurial spirit, work ethic, and creative abilities are things of pride and should be applauded, encouraged and nurtured.
