President Emmanuel Macron of France has denied making remarks insulting the unvaccinated in France, saying his remarks were not an insult, but a remark made from a good place.

According to the report by AFP, President Emmanuel Macron when asked by a resident of Denain in the North while travelling on Monday, assured that he did not see his statement on unvaccinated as “an insult.”

Emmanuel Macron had in an interview back in January attacked the unvaccinated. He had explained that he “really wants to piss them off” and justifies the vaccination pass.

AFP reported then that Macron in an interview given to Le Parisien in January, where he said: “Me, I’m not for pissing off the French. I plague all day against the administration when it blocks them. Well, the unvaccinated, I really want to piss them off,” He said. “So we will continue to do it, until the end, that’s the strategy”, he said.

“A Loving Way”

“You said ‘fuck the non-vaccinated’, that we were sub-citizens, we still got a kick out of it,” a passer-by told him during his visit. Emmanuel Macron’s response: “I never said that. I said it in a way, in quotes, ‘affectionate’.”

The justification of the president-candidate who won 27.6% of the vote this Sunday evening and who must now go and address the voters on the left , did not convince the lady who was talking with him.

“It’s not very affectionate to say that we want to piss people off. When someone says to me ‘fuck you’, excuse me Mr Macron but I don’t take it very kindly”, he said. she replied.

“That’s not what I said”

“If you take it like that, if you take it as an insult, yes. But that’s not what I said,” said the tenant of the Elysée.

Before going into the details of the factory of the interview in Le Parisien during which he exchanged with readers.

“There are some of your fellow caregivers present (during this discussion, editor’s note) who were vaccinated, who had said ‘people who are not vaccinated and who arrive, they should be treated more’. To which I replied that I will never do that as president (…). And there, I say, we put constraints, I am a bit there to try to annoy those who are not vaccinated”, Emmanuel Macron further justified himself.

Three days after his controversial formula, the President of the Republic had already reconsidered his remarks. “We can be moved by forms of expression that seem familiar that I fully assume,” he defended during a press conference.
