Academy product, Alexander Iwobi has penned a long-term contract with London club, Arsenal.
The Nigerian International who graduated from the Arsenal youth ranks, is looking forward to a new life under new manager, Unai Emery, who had earlier dismissed rumour of him leaving the club for Barcelona.
Arsenal’s new mananger Unai Emery while speaking with the club’s website Arsenalfc.com, said Alex Iwobi is important for the club and it is a good thing that he has agreed to stay with the club. He said:
“I’m very pleased Alex has signed a new contract with us. He is a great example of a player who can succeed from the Academy through hard work and I look forward to working with him and our other talented young players in the squad.”
Alex Iwobi while announcing the news on his Instagram page, said:
