Dr. Kayode Fayemi who is the Governor-elect of Ekiti State earlier today met with President Muhammadu Buhari as he presents his certificate of return to the President at the Statehouse.
The Ekiti State Governor-elect was accompanied to the State House by the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and other aides to appreciate the President and the leader of the All Progressive Congress on the successful outing of the July 14th, 2018 Governorship election.
President Muhammadu Buhari who was delighted to receive the former Minister, congratulated him on his victory, saying the victory is a huge achievement to the people of Ekiti State and the APC as they prepare for the 2019 general elections.
Dr. Kayode Fayemi who won the election as pronounced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Professor Olusola Eleka in the July 14th, 2018, Governorship election.
