The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EbonyLife media, Mo Abudu bags yet another award, as she becomes one of four unveiled to be honoured in the MIPTV 2019 Medailles d’ Honneur award ceremony.

The ageless beauty and media mogul that just cannot stop making Nigeria and Nigerians proud with all that she has been doing, especially in the Entertainment Industry, broke the news a few hours ago on her social media page, where she said:

“Good morning beautiful people. I am thankful and overjoyed at the news of being one of the 4 recipients of the 2019 Médailles d’Honneur at MIP TV 2019. This news was announced yesterday??????. So off to Cannes in a couple of months to receive this Médailles d’Honneur.

I am so excited and most grateful for this recognition of our work and more than anything, that our stories are now making a difference across the globe. We must be in the room!!! Our stories must be told, heard and seen – loud and clear!!! Yes, we are changing the narrative!! It really is happening!!! All thanks and gratitude to my Awesome God, the incredible and resilient EbonyLife Team and my dear family and friends that are always there for me. I pray we truly always have reason to celebrate one another??❤.

Mo Abudu will be honoured at the MIPTV 2019 alongside other top Executives and personalities from other countries, that have contributed to media which are: Ilene Chaiken, Writer, Showrunner and Producer (USA); Stéphane Courbit, Chairman, Banijay Group (France); and Jane Millichip, Managing Director, Sky Vision (United Kingdom).

The four will receive their MIPTV 2019 Médailles d’Honneur at a cocktail and awards ceremony taking place in Cannes, France, at the InterContinental Carlton Hotel on Monday 8 April 2019.

According to BroadbandTV, the prestigious MIPTV Médailles d’Honneur are awarded to senior executives who have, through their talent, leadership and passion, made a significant contribution to the world of television and the development of the international TV community, and Mo Abudu has been ranked in that category.

In her profiling, Mo Abudu who is the CEO of EbonyLife Media was described as a successful woman who has been ranked by Forbes as “Africa’s Most Successful Woman”. One of the most prolific producers in Africa, Abudu launched Nigerian broadcaster and producer EbonyLife TV in 2013, producing over 1,000 hours of original programming each year.

Abudu took the plunge into filmmaking, with the creation of EbonyLife Films. She is the Executive Producer of Fifty, the no.1 Nigerian film of 2015; The Wedding Party (2016), the most successful Nollywood film ever at the Nigerian box office; The Wedding Party 2: Destination Dubai (2017), the highest grossing Nollywood film of all time; and Chief Daddy (2018), the third-highest grossing Nigerian film.

In March 2018, Sony Pictures Television (SPT) announced a three-project deal with EbonyLifeTV, the first of its kind between SPT and a Nigerian television company.
