The candidate of the All Progressives Congress Dr. Kayode Fayemi wins the just concluded Governorship Election in Ekiti State, and has since been declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), having scored the highest number of votes in the July 14th 2018 election held in the state.
The APC candidate Dr Fayemi defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and Deputy Governor Professor Olusola Eleka who himself was unable to vote in the election with 197,459 votes to that of PDP: 178,121.
Dr. Fayemi has since been announced returned elected, having fulfilled the requirements of the Electoral laws and with the highest number of votes.

The All Progressive Congress Candidate Dr. Fayemi wins with a margin of 19,338 votes.
