One of the stars of the series Sopranos Dominic Chianese has seen his daughter die at age 58, DailyMail reports.

According to the report by DailyMail, the daughter of Dominic Chianese, Dominic Sarah Francesca Chianese passed after battling glioblastoma.

Glioblastoma is a malignant, cancerous brain tumor that develops from glial cells, specifically astrocytes.

The date of her death is April 15.

The news was shared by the family through a fan account called Sopranos Aficionado. ‘Sarah Francesca Chianese, daughter of Dominic Chianese, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15th,’ the tribute read.

‘She battled glioblastoma and was only 58 years old. Her father stayed by her side ’til the very end.’

‘Sarah was a bright light in this world, she wanted everyone to live their happiest life and smile when they think of her,’ Sarah’s sister Rebecca shared.

Dominic, 94, is an American actor, singer, and musician. He is best known for his roles as Corrado ‘Junior’ Soprano on the HBO series The Sopranos, Johnny Ola in The Godfather Part II, and Leander Whitlock in Boardwalk Empire.

The Sopranos aired from 1999 until 2007.

The crime drama centered on Tony Soprano who is a part of the mob.

He sees a therapist to deal with his professional and personal problems, which bring on panic attacks.

In a conversation with PEOPLE, Sarah’s brother Dominic Jr. shared that his sister will be remembered for ‘her kindness,’ calling it ‘one of the greatest human attributes.’

He said Sarah ‘knew how to throw a party because she had a catering business. I just think that that’s such a great quality, if somebody knows how to throw a party.’

‘She was dedicated to her craft, like a real artist when it came to that,’ he said of her catering business.

He added that his father, Dominic, was in Colorado during Sarah’s final days, saying, ‘I would just like to say that my father was there in her final days to support her in her transition. It was important to her and him both.’

Her son said she was ‘one of the most accomplished women I’ve ever known.’

‘Whether it was reclaiming and restoring old barns, working in a law firm in her early twenties, or dominating the Hudson Valley with her catering company in her late fifties, she got the job done—always in record time, with unreal competence,’ he wrote.

Dominic did theater before starring in the series East Side/West Side.

In 1974, he was cast as Johnny Ola in The Godfather Part II.

He then went on to work with Al Pacino on Dog Day Afternoon (1975), …And Justice For All (1979), and Looking for Richard (1996).

Chianese appeared as a guest actor on the HBO series Boardwalk Empire for three seasons as Leander Whitlock, a retired lawyer and power broker.

Most recently, he starred in the short film Breathe Truth (2024), a comedy about an elderly actor auditioning to play Shakespeare for the first time.
