President Muhammadu Buhari and APC Governors on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, which took place inside the President’s office, was brief after which some of the Governors moved over to the office of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
It was not known what the agenda of the Buhari and APC Governors meeting was as none of the participants was willing to speak with the waiting reporters.
However, it may have centred on the party’s direction in the run-up to the 2023 general elections.
The Governors present include Governors Abubakar Bagudu (Kebbi); Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos); Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti); Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa); Dapo Abiodun (Ogun); Abubakar Bello (Niger); Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe); Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa) and Deputy Governor of Ebonyi, Dr Eric Igwe.
