Belgium National team finally over takes the French National team, to occupy the number one spot in the October FIFA ranking released a few hours ago, as Nigeria moved to 44 spot in the world, and third in Africa, behind Tunisia and Senegal, as CAF top three teams.
Belgium claiming number spot is coming after both Belgium and 2018 World cup winners France shared the top spot in the last official ranking released by FIFA, and from the results from games by both teams at the UEFA Nations League, Belgium gathered more points to claim top spot.
The new ranking sees both France and Belgium maintain their top spot, after a month in which each of them enjoyed a win and a draw, with Belgium and France beating Switzerland and Germany, respectively in the UEFA Nations League and emerging with honours even from matches against the Netherlands and Iceland
Other movers from the new FIFA ranking are, England, Uruguay, Croatia, while the likes of Germany and Argentina drops from top ten:
