The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 542 new cases of the dreaded coronavirus in the country. The latest data was released on Monday 22nd February 2021, with 23 new deaths.
According to the NCDC, the 542 new cases of the coronavirus were recorded in 21 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). These 542 cases show the following distribution across the 21 states:

Kwara (91),
Ebonyi (48),
Ogun (44),
Kaduna (42),
Oyo (33),
Ondo (25),
FCT (24),
Kebbi (23),
Osun (20),
Ekiti (17),
Nasarawa (12),
Imo (11),
Delta (10),
Gombe (9),
Kano (8),
Katsina (7),
Rivers (7),
Edo (5),
Plateau (4) and
Bauchi (3)
Till date, a total of 15,2616 cases have been confirmed, 129,300 cases have been discharged and 1,862 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to NCDC, 193 community recoveries in Lagos State and 113 community recoveries in Kwara State managed in line with guidelines.

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
