After sending out the message on his social media handle early Thursday morning, on his new Pay TV and how he was going to give out 100 free Decoders and a one-year free subscription to the first hundred people that get to Ketu by 9 am today. Lagosians wasted no time to heed the rapper’s call, as thousands trooped out to the venue.

Olamide staying true to his words, gave out the Decoders and even went as far as having snaps with all those that got the free decoders and those that came just to facilitate with him. One of such people that were on hand to give a helping hand to Olamide, was his friend and former manager and Producer to 9nice, and he helped gave out some of the Decoders to few lucky early arrivals. Coincidentally or deliberately, today happens to be Olamide’s birthday, the same day he chose to launch his Pay TV, first by any entertainer in Africa.

One of the best if not the best Nigerian indigenous rapper had earlier taken to his Instagram page to dedicate the event to his fans whom he called ‘the streets’ and late parents for the achievement and role they played in making his dream of owning a Pay-TV come alive. His message, reads

I dedicate this television station to my late mum and dad. Thanks for letting me chase my dream .also to my son Batifèori maximiliano adedeji when I look up in the sky I ask myself why am I trying to live if I’m just living to die,but when I look down I see the answer. This is also for the day ones who’s been supporting ruthlessly through the thick and thin, those who believed in me when I didn’t even have an idea how far i’d go in this journey.this is also an harbinger for every ghetto kid that you can be anything and achieve anything long as you put your mind to it and work toward it.this is for the YBNL fans and TEAM BADDOSNEH I promise never to make you regret supporting me.
