President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide-de-camp Colonel Muhammad Abubakar has officially handed over to the newly appointed aide-de-camp to the President, Lieutenant Colonel Y.M. Dodo. This comes a few weeks after the appointment of Dodo to the position.
In a series of photos shared on social media of the Presidency on Monday 22nd February 2021, shows President Buhar’s aide-de-camp Dodo and the outgoing one, Colonel Muhammad Abubakar, in a small farewell meeting at the state house.
Colonel Muhammad Abubakar who has been in the role since 2015 when President Muhammadu Buhari was first elected President, was photographed with his daughter and wife, as he presented a farewell note to the President.
Lt. Col. YM Dodo was announced as the new aide-de-camp to the President in January, and the handing over ceremony is just taking place today.
President Buhari’s aide-de-camp Colonel Abubakar is leaving the position to attend a course for his promotion to Brigadier-General.
Dodo, until his new appointment, was the Academy Adjutant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.
