The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has on Tuesday 21st July 2020, reported 576 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, 

NCDC in its daily updates on Saturday reported that 576 new cases were recorded on Tuesday across some states of the federation, bringing the total infections cases in Nigeria to 37,801

According to the information published on its official social media on Tuesday, NCDC stated that, till date, 37,801 cases have been confirmed, 15,677 cases have been discharged and 805 deaths have been recorded in 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The NCDC said that the 576 new cases were reported from 22 states, which distribution shows the following:

Enugu-28 

Oyo-26 

Taraba-24 

Kaduna-20 

Ebonyi-20 

Edo-17 

Cross River-16 

Kano-14

Katsina-3 

Imo-2 

Kebbi-1 

Borno-1 

Meanwhile, the health agency said that at least, one out of every 10 persons over 50 years old who had COVID-19 died from it in the country.

The NCDC urged Nigerians to take responsibility to protect themselves, their loved ones and the elderly around them and in the society “because COVID -19 is real”.
