The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which is the national public health institute responsible for the prevention, detection and response to infectious disease outbreaks in Nigeria, has reported 684 new cases of coronavirus.

This latest figure has taken the total number of confirmed positive cases so far in Nigeria to 23,298.

According to the Friday update, the 684 new cases were reported across 19 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Once again, Lagos state recorded the highest number of positive cases, out of the 684 news cases. The state which seems to be the epic centre of the novel coronavirus, on Friday recorded 259 positive cases, taking total cases in the state to 9741.

Ondo-10

Anambra-1

The above distribution across states, brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country, as at 26th June 2020, to 23,298. The total number of discharged patients across Nigeria and as reported by the NCDC, was put at 8,253 with 554 deaths.
