The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has once again, reported 594 new cases of the coronavirus across the country, taking the total confirmed cases so far to 22,614.
The NCDC announced on Thursday 25th June 2020, on its official social media handle that 594 new cases have been recorded in some states of the federation.
The latest figures just like the previous updates from the national public health institute, which is responaible to lead the prevention, detection and response to infectious disease outbreaks in Nigeria, shows Lagos state with the highest positive cases out of the 594 new cases confirmed on Thursday.
The state recorded 159 cases out of the positive cases confirmed on Thursday with Delta state for the first time recording over a hundred cases, making it the second highest.
The update from the national public health institute, also shows that the 594 new cases were recorded in 22 states, including the FCT. The distribution of these new cases across the 22 states, shows the following:

From the latest update, a total of 22,614 cases have been confirmed, with 7,822 patients discharged, with 549 deaths.
