The Nigerian Air Force has announced plans to carry out a counter-terrorism simulation exercise along the Minna-Zungeru road in Niger State and has released a statement informing the general public about the planned exercise.

According to the statement released by Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, who is the ​​​​​NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, the latest and upcoming counter-terrorism simulation exercise just like other exercises that have been carried out by NAF, is in line with its continued efforts geared towards developing the capacity of its personnel to combat terrorism and secure lives and properties of Nigerians.

The NAF’s spokesman in the statement released on 7th Thursday, November 2019, stated that the upcoming exercise nicknamed EXERCISE BABBAN NAUSHI will be carried out on Friday, 8th November 2019. See the full statement here:

ANNOUNCEMENT ON COUNTER-TERRORISM SIMULATION EXERCISE ALONG MINNA -ZUNGERU ROAD

This is to inform the general public, especially residents of Pandogari, Zungeru and Minna areas of Niger State, that the Nigerian Air Force will conduct a simulation exercise on counter-terrorism nicknamed EXERCISE BABBAN NAUSHI along Minna-Zungeru Road on Friday, 8 November 2019.

Accordingly, there will be a movement of military aircraft, vehicles, equipment, personnel as well as the firing of live ammunition during the period of the routine military exercise. Additionally, there will be a restriction of vehicular movement during the period of the Exercise along the aforementioned road.

Members of the public are advised not to panic but go about their normal businesses as the Nigerian Air Force will endeavour to minimize disruptions to normal activities. ​​​​​​​​​Announcer
