Rihanna reveals that having a child of her own will be her greatest achievement in life, as she opened up to Sarah Paulson of Interview Magazine about her relationship, music and growing up.
The recently ranked Forbes richest female musician while discussing how she would love to be a mother, refused to speak about the special man in her life, but said she is in love and believe in love, and who ever desire to know the person she is dating, should go and Google it.
The pop star gave an interview to actress Sarah Paulson for Interview magazine, in which she talked about taking time off for herself over the past couple years.
Rihanna explained that she started to realize she needed more “me” time. But while answering all those questions Paulson then asked her about her boyfriend, saying
PAULSON: Who are you dating?
RIHANNA: Google it.
PAULSON: Are you in love?
RIHANNA: Of course I am.
PAULSON: Are you going to get married?
[Pause]
PAULSON: She’s silent!
RIHANNA: Only God knows that, girl. We plan and god laughs, right?
…then Sarah Paulson asked the big question, which is if she wants to be a mother. See her answer:
PAULSON: Do you want to be a mother?
RIHANNA: More than anything in life.
PAULSON: I’ve seen you with those kids on Instagram.
RIHANNA: My little cousin Majesty. She’s here with me wading in the pool.
On her album and fans feeling abandoned by her, she explained saying she needed some time by herself and confirmed that she is already in the studio working. She said:
“Because your mental health depends on it. If you’re not happy, you’re not going to be happy even doing things that you love doing. It’d feel like a chore. I never want to work to feel like a chore. My career is my purpose, and it should never feel like anything other than a happy place”
Se said sleep didn’t happen much, but she tried to fit it in. She explained:
“It’s the reason why an album isn’t being spat out like it used to. I used to be in the studio, only the studio, for three months straight, and an album would come out. Now, it’s like a carousel. I do fashion one day, lingerie the next, beauty the next, then music the next. It’s like having a bunch of kids and you need to take care of them all.”
On what she is working and why the album is taking much time, she said:
“It really does suck that it can’t just come out because I’m working on a really fun one right now. I’m really happy with a lot of the material we have so far, but I am not going to put it out until it’s complete. It makes no sense to rush it, but I want it out. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m like, ‘Even if I don’t have the time to shoot videos, I’m going to put an album out.’”
Rihanna is rumoured to be dating her billionaire boyfriend Hassan Jameel and it is not known if they are secretly married as Rihanna clearly cannot wait to have a baby of her own and become a mother.
