Ex-Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has sent a farewell message to Chelsea and the fans, after his sack by the new owners of the club, following a lackluster results at the start of the season.
The ex-Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel took to his official Twitter account, to share his message to the club saying:
“This is a statement that I hoped not to have to make for many years. I am devastated by the end of my time at Chelsea.”
He continued:
” A club where i felt at home.
The pride and joy I felt in helping the team win the Champions League and the Club World Cup will forever be etched in my memory. I am honored to have been part of the history of this club and the memories of the past 19 months will always hold a special place in my heart.”
The former Bousia Dortmund also had a thought for the club’s fans, as well as the staff: “It’s a club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally. Thank you very much to all the staff, to the players and supporters for making me feel welcome from the start.”
Tuchel who has already been replaced by Graham Potter, reportedly pleaded with Blues owner Todd Boehly to give him more time during a brief 10-minute conversation that concluded in him being shown the door.
The former Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain manager led Chelsea to Champions League success in his first six months in charge, winning the Club World Cup and reaching two more cup finals during his time in charge.
