Popular singer, Timi Dakolo has alleged that Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Common Wealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) is fond of sexually manipulating female members of his church, especially teenage girls who usually seek for spiritual deliverance to their perceived problems.
Timi Dakolo who seems to be reigniting the long old war of what can be termed as ‘Church Wars’, on Thursday 30th May 2019 took to his Instagram page to drop a series of post about how the COZA pastor allegedly manipulates female members, taking advantage of them sexually. He said each time any of these women, and teenage girls try to protest by speaking out about how they have been sexually assaulted by the pastor, he brings up his big men lawyers to threaten these victims, and thereafter, everything is swept under the carpet.
This was Timi Dakolo’s allegation against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA:
“COMMONWEALTH KO ZION NI..CHURCH IS SUPPOSE TO FIX BROKEN PEOPLE AND NOT CRUSH PEOPLE WHO SHOW UP IN CHURCH NEEDING GOD.”
“From Ilorin to Abuja to Lagos to Dubai to Port Harcourt to London any city he visits, the pastor is leaving a trail of broken women, sexually abused and mentally strangled.
From Avalanche to Gratitude, form Pastoral Care Unit to Host and Hostesses, from Witty Inventions to Hospitality Unit. They are found in every department in that church. he hand picks his victims and ruins them.
“So none of you wonder why a dedicated church worker or leader stop coming to church and dont want to talk about it. Suddenly rumours start flying around about the person being evil. I will tell you all straight up, all your branch pastors know about this evil going on for years and are part of it.”
“Some of the victims they will threaten some they will pay off and some they will suppress by isolating from the church.
Members, Oga ‘criminal lawyers’ always ready to do the dirty work behind the scene just to down the truth. Dear church members try and find these ladies and men to hear their side of the truth before crucifying them or branding them evil. Trust me, their side of the story will shock you.” he said.
The allegation by Timi Dakolo is not new, as he has been one of those who have been speaking up against the case of members allegedly being sexually harassed by COZA Pastors, and one of such cases that trended then on social media then was that of one Ese Walter.
She had in 2017, allegedly accused the senior Pastor of COZA Biodun Fatoyinbo of manipulating her sexually. She had written these narrating her ordeal then, saying:
“My better judgment asked me not to go into the room but the kind of reverence I had for Pastor bordered on fear and I steeped into that room.“Care for a drink?” Asked Pastor “No sir,” I said.“You don’t have to be shy , even if it’s alcohol, feel free and order what you want.”
I wasn’t sure I heard my pastor asking me to order alcohol. I imagined it was a test and ignored the voice inside that was saying, “I’d have henny and coke please.” He proceeded to ask how I had been coping in London and if I was a committed member of any church. He also said he thought there was something special about me and wanted to know that I had not strayed from my faith. I really thought he had heard I was doing something I shouldn’t while in London but tried my best to focus on the conversation instead of my straying thoughts. He kept telling me to relax and feel comfortable with talking to him. After a few minutes, he asked that we go to the roof of the hotel as his room was a pent suite and had a connecting door to the roof.
While there, he sat on a reclining chair and asked me to come sit on his laps. This was a bit awkward for me and I froze for a moment as I asked why. He said he had told me to feel free with him and loosen up. I found myself strolling to sit on his laps. At that moment, I felt like a little girl who was experiencing something her mind couldn’t fathom. He asked me to kiss him and all I could think about was seeing him preach on the pulpit back in COZA which was my home church. He again said ‘feel free ’ And asked again, that I kiss him.
A few hours later, let’s just say, we were rolling under the sheets. It felt as though my mind had paused. I am not saying I was jazzed, (although it’s possible I was in some trancelike state and didn’t know it but I just was so afraid that I couldn’t say or think otherwise.) That was the beginning of this affair. A sexual affair that went on for a little over a week, DAILY!I can hear somebody’s mind thinking, ‘well, you weren’t raped.” she had alleged then.
Since the post of Timi Dakolo on his Instagram page, there have been mixed reactions from members of the church, and some celebrities who attend the church and have a personal relationship with Pastor Fatoyinbo.
