Troops Neutralise Notorious Armed Bandits In Arufu Taraba State

 Kamuku Forest: Operation Whirl Punch of the Nigerian Army have recorded yet another success in their quest to get rid of the Boko Haram terrorists group and criminal elements in Kaduna and neighbouring States, as Troops of Division 1 killed and destroyed Bandits camps and recovers arms in Kamuku Forest.

According to the statement released by the authorities of the Nigerian Army, the troops of Division 1 under the Operation Whirl Punch and a group of vigilante men in a raid last week at the Kamuku Forest in Kaduna State, came across some bandits and engaged them and in the process, neutralized one while others escaped with gunshot wounds.

This will not be the first time the Nigerian Army will be bursting kidnappers camps or that of Boko Haram, as they keep taking the fight to the doorstep of these terrorists in line with the mandate of the Nigerian Military, especially the Nigerian Army. Items recovered were:

AK 47 rifle with 25 rounds and a 7.62mm was recovered

The Nigerian Army statement reads:

The troops of 1 Division Nigerian Army under Operation Whirl Punch continue to clear Bandits, Kidnappers, recover arms and destroy their camps. On 9 Oct 2018, troops launched raid operation in Kamuku Forest where bandits used to harbour and plan their nefarious activities.

In another operation, a combined effort between the troops and Vigilante group raided a camp in Kidandan general area. As a result, one bandit was neutralised, others escaped with gunshots injuries.AK 47 rifle with 25 rounds 7.62mm was recovered.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai only a few days ago visited troops on the front line especially those engaging the Boko Haram Terrorists in the North East, and while speaking during the visit, Gen Buratai commended the troops for their resilience and doggedness in the ongoing fight against insurgency.
His encouraging words and support to the troops over the years, have seen positive results, as troops are more than willing to achieve results and this is one out of many.
