NAPTIP declares two wanted for trafficking a 12-weeks-old baby

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons NAPTIP declares two women wanted for allegedly trafficking a 12-weeks-old baby boy from Lagos Nigeria, to Banjul in the Gambia.

NAPTIP declares the two women wanted, as they released a statement stating that the women whose International Passports were displayed to the public on their social media page, saying the women were travelling with the 12-weeks-old boy, aboard Air Peace, when they were detected by operatives.

The duo escaped arrest while the baby was rescued and is now being raised in a NAPTIP facility in Lagos.

The Anti-trafficking agency released gave their names as Andy Emerald Bassey Pastor and Anthony- Ibeneme Edith Omon. The statement as NAPTIP declares the two wanted reads:

“NAPTIP wishes to inform the general public that the two women- Andy Emerald Bassey Pastor and Anthony – Ibeneme Edith Omon, whose pictures are above have been declared wanted by NAPTIP over their alleged involvement in the Trafficking of a 3-month old baby from Lagos to Banjul.

Anyone with useful information about their whereabouts which will aid the on-going investigations should please contact NAPTIP on 07030000203.”
