Dankwambo has promised to end tribal and religious killings if and when he is elected President of Nigeria come 2019.

The Governor of Gombe State who is also one of the Presidential aspirants under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 general elections said this on Monday while sympathising with those killed in Adamawa state, where over 50 persons were allegedly killed in five local government areas of the state.

Governor Dankwambo while commiserating with the Government and people of Adamawa state, used the opportunity to canvass for votes, by saying he will put an end to the crisis and make Nigeria a safe heaven by replicating same thing he did in Gombe state in the entire country, if he becomes the President of Nigeria. He said:

“I sympathize with the Governor and the good people of Adamawa State over the wanton killings of a Lutheran priest and 51 other Christians in Gon, Nzumosu, Bolki, Nyanga and Bukuto villages in Numan LGA, Adamawa. Together, we shall defeat these enemies of humanity”

The governor stating further and while also moving away from the usual failed promises of 24/hours electricity supply, decided to promise to solve what he feels is the problem facing Nigeria as a country, which he said was religion and tribalism. He said:

“I will end tribal and religious killings in Nigeria as President. I’ve had the privilege through good leadership and use of technology to keep Gombe State, a safe haven for all our citizens and residents.”

“The same will be replicated in Nigeria, if I’m given the opportunity to become the President of our great country.” He said.

Governor Dankwambo has a huge following in different parts of the country, as he has been that one man whose name has constantly been thrown out there whenever the issue of leaders and potential President of Nigeria is being discussed. But he will be facing more superior gladiators (money wise) in the PDP for the party’s Presidential ticket.

The PDP so far has the highest number of Presidential aspirants and there are no small names, which will be an interest party primaries to watch, when the party picks who emerges as their flag-bearer in the 2019 general elections.
