The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial Zone has been reported to have been abducted by unknown persons in the early hours of today.
According to Senator Ben Murray- Bruce who raised the alarm on his social media page, said he received a call from the younger brother of Senator Dino Melaye, one Moses Melaye who informed him about what has happened.
In his message, Ben Murray-Bruce alleged that Senator Dino Melaye was whisked away by men in a Toyota Sienna that blocked Dino Melaye’s car and overpowered them on their way to a court in Kogi State. He said:
“I have just been informed by Moses Melaye, Senator Dino Melaye’s brother, that Dino has been abducted by unknown persons in a Toyota Sienna that blocked their car and overpowered them on their way to Kogi to answer to Dino’s court case. Lets be on the watch out. Will keep you updated.”
Senator Dino Melaye only yesterday was six count charge bordering on attempted suicide, attempt to escape from police custody and damage to police property. He was later granted bail of N5million naira by an Abuja High Court.
