The former Governor of Edo State and former Nigeria Labour Congress President Adams Oshiomole has been elected as the new chairman of the ruling party, The All Progressives Congress at the ongoing APC National Convention in Abuja today.
The former Governor was elected unopposed as aspirants who had earlier made their intention known to contest the position, all stepped down for the man they felt could do the job better, and in the spirit of oneness.
This news means, Comrade Adams Oshiomole who was present at the convention with his wife, will be taking over from his brother, Chief John Oyegun the immediate past chairman of the party, who also declined the request to re-contest the position.
