Popular U.S rapper Cardi B has said that she will be applying for a Nigerian Citizenship, after Iran’s threat of a possible world war III against America following the assassination of Qassem Soleimani by U.S backed airstrike.
Cardi B who joined other American celebrities and politicians in condemning President Donald Trump for his missed calculated move against Iran, took to her Twitter page on Friday to put out a tweet that reads:
“Naaaaa these memes are fuckin😂
but shit ain’t no joke ! Specially being from New York .Its sad this man is putting Americans live in danger.Dumbest move Trump did till date …I’m filing for my Nigerian citizenship” she tweeted following Iran’s threat.
Her tweet has generated alot of excitement from Nigerians, as they have taken to Twitter to troll other African countries especially Ghana, as she makes Nigeria are preferred country to obtain her citizenship.
CardiB thereafter followed her first tweet up with another tweet, as she insisted she will be picking a tribe in Nigeria, after taking up her citizenship. She tweeted this:
“Picking my tribe”
While some have taken the whole Iran-U.S diplomatic row very serious by condenming Trump, especially given how already tensed the Middle East region is, others are making fun of the whole situation, and sadly, CardiB has joined those having fun and making memes with the whole tensed situation with Iran.
CardiB’s tweet is coming a few hours after President Donald Trump ordered a drone strike at the Baghdad airport in Iraq targeting the cars carrying Iran’s most powerful general, Soleimani, the head of the Quds Force, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Iran-backed Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF). Both men, as well as the other passengers in the cars, died on impact.
The death of Soleimani, who was responsible for carrying out deadly proxy attacks in the Middle East, becomes a major escalation in tensions between Iran, and the United States and its allies in the area.
Trump aleady mocked a possible #worldwar3 saying Iran in their history, has never won a war. But never lost a negotiation.
The U.S Defense Department argues that the Soleimani assassination “was aimed at deterring future Iranian attack plans,” though did not go into detail. “Soleimani was a murderer, responsible for the deaths of thousands, including hundreds of Americans. But this reckless move escalates the situation with Iran and increases the likelihood of more deaths and new Middle East conflict. Our priority must be to avoid another costly war,” the statement said.
