The Senator representing Kogi West senatorial zone has called on Nigerians to stop giving credit to President Buhari on the passage and signing into law the financial autonomy of States Houses of Assembly and Judiciary. He said the executive has been attributing the landmark achievement to themselves but rather it was the National Assembly that did the actual work.

He said the bills to make states houses of assembly in Nigeria and their counterpart at the Judiciary autonomous financial wise, from the executive, was a bill that emanated from the National Assembly, so the glory should be accorded to them and not the executive. He warned that those taking credit should stop, and not savour in the euphoria of such victory.

The National Assembly should be appreciated and given the glory of the autonomy of the Judiciary and State Houses of Assembly. They are not Executive bills but absolute products of the National Assembly. No one should savour in the euphoria of the Victory. SDM
