The late Malam Dalhatu Imam who died in the early hours of today has been laid to rest amid a mammoth crowd of mourners who troop out to witness the final journey of a man so much loved by his people.

The late Malam Dalhatu before his unfortunate death was the Media spokesperson for the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambawal. He died at the age of 41 after a brief illness in Abuja.

The Governor of Sokoto State has since put out a tweet thanking Nigerians for their messages as they mourn the painful death of Malam Imam. He also thanked the Senate President and other National Assembly members that came immediately the news broke out. Taking to his twitter page, the Governor said:

My deep appreciation to everyone for their condolences on the death of my late Special Adviser Media, Mallam Imam Imam. His Janahiza Prayers was attended mySenator Bukola Saraki accompanied by members of the house and well wishers. Thank you all for the Prayers.
