The Civilian JTF seems to have continued their fight against Banditry in the Northern region, taking the fight to them, as fresh reports indicate that no few than seven persons have been killed in the Tsamiyar Jino village in kankara local government area of Katsina state.

The Civilian JTF who had earlier been warned not to lead the assaults on the banditry, as their earlier move has led to over 50 death, seem determined to secure their land and chase out the bad guys even at the risk of losing their own lives.

This latest killings and attack according to a spokesman of the Katsina State Police Command, Superintendent Gambo Isa, said that only seven persons died and not 35 as erroneously stated in many social media posts.

He further disclosed the Civilian JTF popularly known as Yansakai (volunteers) went into the forest to fight the bandits against the warnings of Police not to do so.

He said the bandits overpowered them because of possession of superior weapons and vast knowledge of the terrain better than the Civilian JTF.

The police chief assured that the newly deployed IGP special squad against banditry and kidnapping in the state will soon catch up with the bandits and smoke them out.
