The Lagos Police Public Relation Officer Dolapo Badmos has asked Nigerians to stop tagging her on social media about ending the Special Anti Robbery Squad, as she said she did not start it and cannot end it.
Taking to her social media page, she asked her followers on Instagram to stop tagging her on the campaign to end SARS and channel their grievances to the appropriate authority as she is handicap on their plight.
The issue on the clamour to end SARS across the country is getting louder each day, and so are those opposing its end. This is due to how they (SARS) have allegedly gone about extorting and brutalizing innocent Nigerians on a daily basis, that videos keep popping up about one incident or the other on their activities across the country.
The issue to end it has been a trending topic for weeks now, but there seem not to be any reasonable response from the Police, especially those at the top.
Though the police have never denied the facts that there are some bad eggs in SARS, the headache I feel they are having is how to cut their excesses and heed to the demand of some Nigerians who are calling for their disbandment.
