The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has once again scored another high in the fight against corruption, as an Appeal Court sitting in Kaduna has upheld the interim forfeiture of $9.8million and £74,000 belonging to former Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Mr Andrew Yakubu.
The Court upheld the initial judgement given by a Federal High Court in Kano, which forfeited in the interim, $9,772,800 and £74,000 belonging to ex-NNPC Group Managing Director, Andrew Yakubu, uncovered by EFCC in a remote village in Kaduna State, as suspected to be proceeds of illegal activities.
