The Nigerian Police Rapid Response Squad under the Lagos Police Command II, has arrested suspected gang of handbag, and phones snatchers at the popular Alaba International market Lagos, where they also allegedly looted some shops in the market.
According to the statement released on Tuesday 28th April 2020, on the official Twitter handle of the Lagos State Police Command II, the Police Rapid Response Squad said; “at about 6:00am today our officers in Alaba arrested some suspects who specialise in snatching bags and phones from passersby using dangerous weapons,” the satement said.
The statement by the Police continued by saying that:
“They also invaded the popular Alaba Int’l Market and looted some of the shops.
They are presently cooling off at Ojo Police Station for further investigation,” the Police added.
