Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District has been arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. The Senator who announced his own arrest did not give details as to those behind his arrest or who arrested. Taking to his social media page to announce the news, he said:
I have just been arrested at the international wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport on my way to Morocco for an official engagement sponsored by the Federal Govt after checking in.
Stopped from traveling and under arrest. No retreat no surrender. Talk we must
Senator Dino Melaye who was earlier declared wanted by the police on his alleged connection to a popular kidnapper and gun runner “Osama” and their consequent jailbreak, said he was stopped by the immigration officers at the airport from traveling for an official engagement, as he is been watched by the Interpol and cannot leave the country.
