Popular Nigerian Disc Jockey, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, known professionally as DJ Cuppy, has been named as an Ambassador and Advisory member of Save the Children United Kingdom, but will serve Africa region.

The DJ Cuppy’s father and Nigerian billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola shared the good news a few hours ago on his Instagram page, sending his congratulatory message to his beautiful and hard working daughter for the new role.

The Save the Children is a United Kingdom based body that looks after children that are living in some of the places categorised as “toughest” places to raise a child, as they care for such child or children, especially on the rights to a good education, health, children rights, and those facing hunger.

Given that Nigerian currently has over 10million out of school children, DJ Cuppy having her roots in Nigeria and landing this new role clearly will use her influence as she already has her own charity organisation where she can further promote the goal of the body. This will be one of the things DJ Cuppy will be doing in Africa, especially in Nigeria which has the highest number of out of school children in the world.

The Save the Children UK help vulnerable children get a good education, good medical care, food, among many other things.
