PHOTO: Governor Ambode Commissions the first Safety Area in Nigeria

In a bid to make sure Lagos State and her residence are safe, and in keeping to his mandate as the Governor of the State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode earlier today Commissioned the first Safety Area in Nigeria. The Safety Area which is situated along  the ever busy Bolade-Oshodi road in the state, will serve the area and it environs with all cutting edge equipment and well trained professional personnel. This project will be the first commissioned by the Governor in 2018 and many more are on their way. The Governor while unveiling the new safety post, said:

The first Safety Arena in Nigeria, situated at Bolade-Oshodi was commissioned today. All agencies responsible for safety and emergency management have been brought under one roof to aid synergy and improve the response time to safety and emergency issues.

The Governor who has showed a lot of commitment since assuming office, further said the new project is to make sure every lives in Lagos are safe, as they plan to make Lagosians aware about the importance of safety. saying:

To all Lagosian, a shift in mindset is required. It can no longer be business as usual. More than ever before, we should all comply with safety rules and regulations and rededicate ourselves to strengthening the safety apparatus in the state.
