One Prof Zainab Duke and her maids are being reported to have been arrested by the Police in the Federal Capital Territory, for allegedly beating up a female Police Orderly attached to her.
According to the tweet shared on Wednesday 21st September 2022, by one Kenny Adewole, a Journalist, Prof Zainab Duke of area 11 allegedly beat up her Police Orderly with the help of her maids, insisting that nothing will happen, because she is a friend to the wife of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba.
The Twitter user twitted saying:
“I hope the @PoliceNG will prosecute Prof Dike Zainab of Area 11 who assaulted her Police Orderly and ordered her maids to beat her up as nothing will happen because the IGP”s wife is her friend?”
According to the news making the rounds, which have been confirmed by the Nigeria Police Force, the Police in the Federal Capital Territory have since directed the immediate withdrawal of Policemen attached to Prof Zainab Dike on Wednesday for the incident, and investigations have commenced on the matter.
It was gathered that the action was necessitated when Prof Zainab of Area 11 ordered her maids to beat up her orderly.
The police are currently investigating the case as the suspect will be brought to justice.
In a follow-up tweet, Kenny Adewole twitted saying:
“I can tell you that she and her housemaids have been arrested and will be charged in court. I will update everyone on her trial as well,” he said.
