Breaking: Buju Banton leaves US for Jamaica after 7-years in US jail

Popular Jamaica  reggae dance-hall king, Mark Myrie famously known as Buju Banton who was released from a US prison after serving seven years in jail for drug-related charges, is being expected in Jamaica today, as he is expected to receive a heroic welcome.

Buju Banton is one of the few reggae artists that can still boast of a huge following and died-hard fans across the world before he was jailed he was accused of putting out a song that led to the killing of gay people in Jamaica, and aside this which we totally condemn, he has churn out many songs.

The Reggae artist with hundreds of hit songs to his name have been truly been missed and not just in Jamaica, and the world, as lovers of Reggae dancehall, missed the unique and message filled voice of Buju Banton, who many see as the second most popular Reggae artist after Bob Marley, and a living legend.

Buju Banton a few hours ago was spotted boarding a plane in Florida United States, onward Jamaica, wearing a white top, and blue jeans…he clearly cannot wait to hit the studio and give us some more Buju tunes!!!…but his focus now to mentor youth and engage them positively.

Raised in Salt Lane, a poor area of Kingston, the man nicknamed Buju by his mother honed his craft as a child, performing live with sound systems under the name Gargamel at aged 12 and recording by the following year, 1987.

Jamaica and the world fell for Banton in the early 90s, when he established himself as arguably the most significant dancehall artist in the country.
