PDP condemns the alleged freezing of Obi account by EFCC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has a few hours ago released a statement condemning the alleged freezing of the accounts of Peter Obi by the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC).

In a statement released by PDP national Publicity secretary Kola Ologbodiyan, the opposition party  condemned the alleged move by the EFCC saying Peter Obi’s Account , and all accounts belonging to their Vice presidential candidate, wife, his family members and their businesses have been freezed by agencies of the Muhammadu Buhari failed administration.

The full statement as released on Saturday by the PDP reads:

Since his nomination as
PDP Vice Presidential Candidate,
Peter Obi has received all manner of threats and blackmail, including threats to his life and those of his wife and children by agents of the failed and discredited APC”

“Having realized that Nigerians are rallying behind Atiku and Peter Obi as the next President &Vice President respectively, Muhammadu Buhari and the failed All Progressives Congress have resorted to all manner of machinations and direct attacks on their persons and business in a bid to run them down

“All discerning Nigerians know that the reasons for an investigation on a man like Peter Obi is a journey to no where but is aimed at stifling him of funds as well as attempt to distract our campaign and divert attention from the failures of the Muhammadu Buharia’s administration.”
