Obasanjo has a few hours ago, received Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate for the 2019 general elections, Chief Atiku Abubakar and some top members of the party at his hometown in Ogun State.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is making a return to see his old Boss and former President of Nigeria under the PDP, and although the two have had some rough moments over the years, they seem to have buried the hatchets in order to promote a common course.
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who has never been shy to voice out his opinion whether for or against, is receiving the PDP delegate a few days after their convention in Port Harcourt Rivers State, where Atiku Abubakar defeated other PDP Presidential aspirants to emerge the winner of the Presidential Primary.
According to one of the delegates and Senator representing Bayelsa East, Ben Murray-Bruce, the PDP and Atiku Abubakar have come to see Obasanjo in their bid to making “Nigeria work again”, as he claimed that the process has already begun.
Atiku Abubakar in the PDP Presidential Primary held in Port Harcourt Rivers State, saw the former Vice President of Nigeria defeating some of the heavyweights to clinch the party’s ticket. He will now go head to head with other candidates in the 2019 Presidential election and hoping to win.
