Kris Jenner said she believes her grandson Tatum is able to communicate with her late ex-husband Robert Kardashian Sr.
The reality star, 70, on Thursday’s episode of the Kardashians on Hulu, paid a visit to the home of her daughter Kylie Jenner 28, amid concerns it was haunted.
Khloé Kardashian, 41, and Scott Disick, 42, were present for the probe, as the famed family discussed whether or not there were ghosts in the house.
Khloé said ‘Tatum was like, “I want to call honey,”‘ in reference to his grandmother.
Kylie said, ‘Wait, hold on – Tatum calls you honey?’ to which Khloé said, ‘Tatum calls her honey and no one has ever told him to call her honey.’
Kris Jenner said, ‘That’s what Robert used to call me’ in reference to her late ex-husband, who she was wed to from 1978 until 1991.
Robert Kardashian Sr. died from esophageal cancer at the age of 59 on September 30, 2003, about two months after he was diagnosed.
Khloé said, ‘He said, “I want to call honey,” to which Kris added, “He said Honey and he told me a whole story.
‘He described [Robert] and said he’s really funny and that he was crying.’
Kris Jenner continued: ‘And I go, “Your grandpa was crying? Why was he crying?”
‘And Tatum goes, “Because he loves you,” and he points to my face.’
In a subsequent confessional segment, an impassioned Kris commented on the spiritual phenomenon she felt is occurring within the family.
‘You have a three-year-old telling you about his conversations with his grandfather, who he’s never met – it’s extraordinary,’ Kris said. ‘And then, he says goodnight to his grandfather sometimes, like he’s right in the room.
‘He can see him, but nobody else can – it’s interesting, right?’
Khloé spoke earlier this year on an episode of the reality show about the strange coincidences regarding common ties linking her son – who she shares with Tristan Thompson – and her late father Robert.
‘I swear he’s my dad – it’s so interesting,’ Khloé said in a February broadcast. ‘He calls my mom Honey and my dad used to call my mom Honey.
‘No one has asked him to call my mom honey, at least not that I know of.’
Robert’s life and career first put the Kardashian family name into the national limelight in June of 1994, when he joined ‘The Dream Team’ of defense attorneys in what was referred to as ‘The Trial of the Century’ of his close friend O.J. Simpson.
The historic legal proceedings followed the shocking murders of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman.
Kardashian was on the defense squad alongside Johnnie Cochran, Alan Dershowitz, F. Lee Bailey, Robert Shapiro and Barry Scheck.
When the jury read the not guilty verdict on October 3, 1995 – granting Simpson his freedom – Robert Kardashian Sr. was visibly stricken as the not guilty decisions were delivered.
The following year, Robert said in an ABC interview he wasn’t convinced of Simpson’s innocence in the double murder.
‘I have doubts – the blood evidence is the biggest thorn in my side – that causes me the greatest problems,’ Robert told Barbara Walters. ‘So I struggle with the blood evidence.’
David Schwimmer portrayed Robert in the 2016 miniseries The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, in which Selma Blair played Kris.
