Alix Earle and Braxton Berrios have reportedly split up after two years of dating.
According to US Weekly, Alix Earle and Braxton Berrios have ‘mutually agreed on the split’ just weeks after they celebrated their two-year anniversary.
Berrios posted a picture of him with a bouquet of roses, which were sent by Earle, on November 11 to celebrate the milestone. But, just 25 days later, the couple have now parted ways
Fans had been speculating online about the possibility after there was no sign of Alix Earle and Braxton Berrios reuniting following the conclusion of Dancing With The Stars.
‘Majority of their relationship was long-distance and it was hard for them to navigate,’ a source told US Weekly.
As news of their break up started to emerge on Saturday night, Earle posted a series of photos from Miami. Berrios, who plays for the Houston Texans, is preparing to play the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.
It also comes less than two weeks after Earle, 24, finished second in this year’s season of Dancing With The Stars with partner Val Chmerkovskiy. Berrios, 30, could not attend any of Earle’s live shows because of his NFL commitments.
He did, however, send a video message to her which said: ‘I’ve watched you pour everything into this since the moment it has started, and I think it shows. Good luck. Have fun, babe.’
A source told the Daily Mail this week: ‘Alix has not been happy with the direction their relationship is going in. They spend a lot of time apart and just spent Thanksgiving apart.
‘She’s happy in Los Angeles and is preparing for the DWTS Tour. Braxton is in Texas for football and he doesn’t have much downtime.
‘They’re trying to make it work but both of their busy schedules are getting in the way. It’s definitely not the same relationship it was two years ago.’
They did manage to put their dancing and football commitments aside in October when Earle threw a lavish birthday party for Berrios during the Texans’ bye week.
Berrios posted a gushing tribute to his girlfriend, as well as several pictures of the festivities. He captioned it: ‘I hope everybody gets to feel as loved as I felt this weekend.
‘There’s nothing better than being surrounded by the people you love that traveled across the country to be there for you. Alix I don’t know how you pulled this surprise off but I’m so thankful you did. What a way to start 30!’
Earle replied in the comments, writing: ‘Love you’
Earlier this year, Earle admitted she struggled since going long-distance – but played down break-up rumors.
Speaking on her vlog, Earle said: ‘I think this is kind of like my first go at a real long-distance relationship. When it comes to our communication, it is harder than usual.
‘We have not had a lot of problems in our relationship but it has definitely just been a different obstacle’.
Berrios signed a one-year, $2million deal with the Texans in March this year, leaving the Miami Dolphins after two seasons with the organization.
He started dating Earle, a social media sensation, after his split from Olivia Culpo’s younger sister Sophia.
They didn’t have the best start to a relationship though, with some speculating Earle and Berrios were involved while he was still dating Culpo, which they both denied.
