A former President of the United States of America, Jimmy Carter has been discharged from the hospital. This information was made available to the press by the Carter Centre on Wednesday, 4th December 2019.
According to the statement released by the Carter Center, they said Jimmy Carter after being discharged from the hospital said:
“He said he looks forward to further rest and recovery at home in Plains, Georgia. He and Mrs Carter wish everyone peace and joy this holiday season,” the statement said.
Jimmy Carter was during the weekend, was rushed to the hospital for yet another urinary tract infection, and this was after less than a week of leaving an Atlanta hospital following a two-week stay.
The Carter Centre in a statement released announcing that the 95-year-old has been admitted for ill-health said:
“Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter was admitted to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Ga., this past weekend for treatment for a urinary tract infection,”
“He is feeling better and looks forward to returning home soon. We will issue a statement when he is released for further rest and recovery at home.”
Carter, who has survived brain and liver cancer, was also hospitalized twice in October and needed 14 stitches above his brow after his first fall when he hit his forehead “on a sharp edge.” He then received treatment for a minor pelvic fracture after his second fall.
Although there are fears about his health and constant admission, Doctors despite his age, he is still strong and only needed more rest time, saying he is good.
