Lauren Sanchez took to Instagram on Saturday to wish her close pal Katy Perry a happy birthday.
Katy, who is currently on her Lifetimes tour, turned 41 on October 25.
To mark the occasion, the 55-year-old newlywed wife of Jeff Bezos shared photos with the pop star via Instagram Stories.
Lauren Sanchez wrote, ‘Did I mention it’s my girl’s birthday? Oh, how I love you @katyperry,’ over a collage of throwback images
Lauren Sanchez also referenced their April launch into space via their Blue Origin flight.
In another post, she wrote, ‘Happy birthday @katyperry I love you to space and back.’
Lauren Sanchez aptly soundtracked her posts to two of Katy’s songs — her 2010 hit California Gurls and her 2013 tune Birthday.
The Blue Origin crew spoke to Elle magazine in a joint interview, revealing they would have their hair and makeup done for the flight, along with their sleek, blue space suits.
‘Who would not get glam before the flight?’ Lauren quipped, while Katy declared: ‘Space is going to finally be glam.’
‘Let me tell you something. If I could take glam up with me, I would do that. We are going to put the ‘ass’ in astronaut,’ the singer playfully added.
In August Lauren took to Instagram Stories to congratulate the songstress on a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden and share her heartbreak over missing the monumental concert.
She reposted a segment about Katy that aired on CBS Mornings, and mentioned that fellow Blue Origin astronaut and journalist Gayle King was there for the performance.
‘So sad I missed it… but see you soon @katyperry,’ Sanchez wrote in white text over the top of the clip.
Katy missed Lauren’s over-the-top Venetian wedding to Bezos in June, due to being on her ongoing tour.
But the California native did, however, show up for the bachelorette celebrations alongside Eva Longoria and Kim Kardashian.
During the wedding, the hitmaker, who was across the globe in Australia took to Instagram to share a series of snaps of herself with her arm wrapped around a quokka in a photo dump that she captioned: ‘mood: Quokka.’
Quick to share a sweet message of support at the time, Lauren Sanchez commented: ‘We miss you Katy,’ with a heart.
While her schedule didn’t allow for her to be at the nuptials, Katy’s ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom attended the starry event.
The ex-couple, who share five-year-old daughter Daisy, called it quits on their nine-year romance earlier this year.
The musician has since moved on with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
