4th round : Lampard’s Derby to face Chelsea in Carabao cup

Carabao cup Fourth-round fixtures are out, and it is former Chelsea star and legend, Frank Lampard returning to the Stamford Bridge with his team Derby County for another cracker in their Carabao cup journey.

Derby County which is being managed by Frank Lampard, shocked Manchester United on Tuesday, by dumping them out of the Carabao cup competition after a shoot-out where they won 7-8, and after the game ended 2-2 in normal time. It was a huge shock as Lampard knocked out his former manager Jose Mourinho and United out of the competition.

The Fourth-round draws of the Carabao cup which concluded a few minutes ago, matched Lampard against his former club Chelsea a few days after facing his former manager Jose Mourinho.

This surely will be his biggest test, given that Chelsea are totally a different side compared to United, and have more creative and tactically sound players, it will be a different ball game for the Championship side and their young manager.

This will not be the first time Frank Lampard will be going against his former club Chelsea, as while he was still playing for Manchester City, his late strike for City denied Chelsea the all important three points.

He is coming back again and this time as a manager and given what he did at the Old Trafford a few nights ago, himself and his team are definitely not push overs. It will be a great watch and we cannot wait to see his approach against Chelsea

While Derby qualified by beating Manchester United, Chelsea beat Liverpool to go through to the next stage.

The Fourth-round of games kicks off in late October ( a month from today). See other fixtures:

Manchester City v Fulham

Bournemouth v Norwich City

Arsenal v Blackpool

Leicester City v Everton or Southampton

West Ham v Tottenham

Middlesbrough v Crystal Palace

Chelsea v Derby County

Burton Albion v Nottingham Forest
