President Donald Trump in a new social media message, has insisted that the United States Birthright Citizenship which some have argued that it is covered by the 14th Amendment, thereby giving equal rights to children born in the United States and an automatic US citizenship by birth, when even their parents are not American citizens, will stop, one way or the other!
President Trump who had initially threatened the use of an Executive Order to terminate the law, in his latest Twitter message, said the world is aware of all the loopholes in the laws of the United States of America, and they are taking good advantage of those loopholes, especially the Birthright Citizenship to the detriment of the United States, and at the same time, laughing at the “Stupidity” of America.
President Trump only yesterday, granted an interview where he told Axios, that:
“The US is the only country in the world where a person comes in, has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits,” he said.
He continued by saying:
“Several other countries, including Canada, have a policy of birthright citizenship, according to an analysis by the Center for Immigration Studies, which advocates for reducing immigration.
“It’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous. And it has to end,”
On Wednesday, which is a few hours ago, He took to his twitter handle to put out these tweets:
“So-called Birthright Citizenship, which costs our Country billions of dollars and is very unfair to our citizens, will be ended one way or the other. It is not covered by the 14th Amendment because of the words “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” Many legal scholars agree.”
