Iyabo Ojo who has been ‘disturbing’ our timelines with updates from the preparations for her daughter’s traditional wedding, on Thursday 17th April, 2025, took to her official social media handle to share series of photos showing off her outfit to her traditional wedding.
From the photos shared by Iyabo Ojo, the actress and businesswoman, cut a glamorous figure in her Asọ-Ẹbí, which is a touch of leafy green colour, some gold colour gown where she embellished her neck, fingers and wrists with some 18 caret gold necklace, rings, and bangles and earrings to match her looks as the mother of the bride…she was also pictured with fancy hand purse to complete her look for the day.
The soon to be couple already tied the knot earlier this year in Tanzania with a beautiful Nikkah and civil ceremony, and just like any Nigerian parents, while we respect other people’s culture and tradition, such an event won’t be complete without the Nigerian version…also given the status of the bride’s mother in the society, especially in the entertainment industry, there’s no way she won’t be giving her family and friends the opportunity to celebrate her daughter on her special day!
What we know about Iyabo Ojo daughter’s husband Juma Jux and how the two met:
Juma Jux whose real name is Juma Mussa Mkambala was born 1st September 1989, in Tanzania; he is a singer and songwriter of music blend such as RnB, Bongo Flava, and Afrobeats. While Priscilla Ojo on the other hand, is 24 and the first daughter of Iyabo Ojo.
The exact time of their first meeting isn’t specified, but according to Juma Jux during his speech at their second proposal party in Lagos in February 2025, he first met Priscilla during a work trip in Rwanda in 2024.
“The first day I saw Priscilla in Rwanda, I missed my flight and couldn’t get a business-class seat because it was full,” he said. “I was pissed off, and after passing through the business class section, I saw her laughing at me. I told my team I wouldn’t talk to any of those ladies again. Later, we went to stay at the same hotel.”
Recalling how he later warmed up to Priscilla, Jux said, “She wasn’t feeling well that day, while Chioma Ikokwu [Priscilla’s friend] was charming and making friends with many people. I started a conversation with her friend, and from there, I gained confidence, and we began talking. I liked her from the first day I saw her at the airport. There was something about her I couldn’t explain, but I knew my heart was drawn to her.”
By June 2024, news of their relationship started making the rounds.
Priscilla first appeared on Jux’s page in June 2024, when he posted a video featuring her to promote his song “Maboss” with Billnass. At the time, many assumed it was just a publicity stunt to push the track.
However, in July 2024, Priscilla made things official with a photo post on Instagram, simply captioned “Mine.” That marked the beginning of their love story in the public eye. And today, the rest they say his HISTORY!!
