Manchester City go three points clear of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table, after thrashing Newcastle United 5-0 on Sunday.
Manchester City go three points clear and are looking likely to defend their title again, after Raheem Sterling and Aymeric Laporte put them in control at the break, then Rodri’s header just past the hour mark added a third for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Substitute Phil Foden made it four late on and there was time for Sterling’s second to round off the scoring.
The win by Pep Guardiola’s side comes after Liverpool drew 1-1 draw against Spurs on Saturday. And the 5-0 win by City, see them with a four-goal superiority over Liverpool with three games remaining.
Newcastle on the other hand, remained in 13th as they lost a 13th straight visit to the Etihad Stadium.
