Madam Oby Ezekwesili paid tribute to her late mother Cecilia Nwayiaka Ujubuonu on her 81st posthumous birthday on Tuesday, with a heart-touching post with a series of beautiful old photos.
Cecilia Nwayiaka Ujubuonu, who would have turned 81 years old today, received a tribute from her daughter and former minister of Education, and also 2019 Presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Madam Oby Ezekwesili as she remembers her on her posthumous birthday.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Oby shared a series of images of her late mother, with a caption that reads:
“Nnem! Ezigho Nnemi! We would have been celebrating your 81st today had our Lord not decided He needed you in the yonder above. My grief has over the last 3 years transformed into gratitude for the privilege you gave us your children to be born and raised by an Amazon! #unforgettable,” she captioned the series of photos she shared of her mother on her official social media handle.
Cecilia Nwayiaka Ujubuonu died of cancer at the age of 78, at her daughter’s residence in Abuja, in 2020.
A native of Ndodolu village, Umunuko, Ukpor, in Nnewi south local government area, Anambra state, the late Cecilia Nwayiaka Ujubuonu was widowed after the death of her husband, Benjamin Ujubuonu, in 1988.
The late Cecilia Nwayiaka Ujubuonu was born on April 18, 1942, Ujubuonu, she was a retired businesswoman, who devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, the church and service to humanity, before her death.
She was also a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
