Suspected Dog Thief Nabbed By Police In Gombe

A suspected Dog thief has been arrested by the Police in Gombe state, after the suspect was apprehended by some group in the community, the Police authorities in the state reports.

According to the statement released by the Gombe State Police Command on Tuesday 30th August 2022, the suspected dog thief identified as 21-year-old Abdullahi Mohammed of Dawaki quarters Gombe was arrested at about 0600hrs in possession of a Dog and handed over to Tumfure Division for investigation and prosecution.

The case has since been charged to Chief magistrate court Akko LGA.
The Command also added that the suspected for Offence of being in possession of property suspected to be Stolen, was sentenced to eight months imprisonment with the option of a Five thousand Naira fine and Community service.
