Troost-Ekong has shared a sweet throwback childhood snaps showing his siblings, mum Eleanore Troost and himself, as he celebrates his Nigerian heritage.

The 28-year-old Super Eagles of Nigeria vice-captain and English Premier League side Watford defender, Ekong and his siblings looked adorable as they enjoy their time in Nigeria back in the day.

In the photos posted on his official social media handle, William Troost-Ekong can be spotted with his siblings in a matching outfit in what seems to be their family house in Nigeria, and in another of the snap, he was photographed sweeping the floor of their living room, and also having a fun time with his siblings in the long-living room stairway.

In another of the photo, William Troost-Ekong shared a photo of his mum, backing either himself, or one of his siblings, as she enjoys her time in Nigeria playing the typical Nigerian mother.

Captioning his childhood snap, William Troost-Ekong wrote: ‘Naija Boy’ with the Nigerian flag.

The image garnered several comments from his fans, and fellow Super Eagles teammates as they marvel at the rare photos of his childhood growing up in Nigeria.

The latest photos from the Vice-Captain of the Super Eagles come a few weeks after Nigeria failed to qualify for the Qatar 2022 world cup.

The defender was born in the Netherlands into a mixed Dutch and Nigerian family.
