599 New COVID-19 Cases, 3 Deaths Reported By NCDC

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have reported and confirmed a total of 599 new COVID-19 cases of the coronavirus and 3 in the country.

According to the daily report by the health agency, the 599 new COVID-19 cases reported on Saturday 28th December 2021, now put the total number of confirmed cases since the inception of the pandemic to 239,019 confirmed cases and 213,180 as of the number of discharged cases.

The death toll also stands at 3,027, all recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 599 new cases were reported from 15 states and the distribution of these cases across these states and the federal capital territory, shows the following:

Kaduna-48
Lagos-35
Ondo-23
Kano-21
Rivers-20
Kwara-20
Ogun-18
Plateau-12
Abia-8
Cross River-8
Ekiti-6
Bauchi-3

According to the report by NCDC, Saturday’s report includes:
2 states with zero cases reported: Osun, and Sokoto
194 cases reported for Delta state from 13th – 26th (191) and 27th (3) December 2021
